Introduction

Our research in Quantitative Genetic Epidemiology focuses on the development of statistical methodologies for analyzing genetic/genomic, clinical and environmental data. As a relatively new discipline, genetic epidemiology evolves from genetics and epidemiology. Its primary objective is to investigate independent and interactive contributions of both genetic and environmental factors to human diseases. With the advent of biotechnologies, our research interest expands into genomics with SNP technologies, functional genomics with array technologies, and proteomics with mass spectrometry technologies. Our goal is to research and develop novel statistical methods for biomedical researchers.
